Spanish softwood lumber imports down 24% in H1

Spain‘s softwood lumber imports plunged again by 24% year-on-year to 367,969 m³ in the first six months due to a constantly weak demand. According to information from the Spanish timber importers and timber industry association, imports from other European countries stood at 332,709 m³, which equates to a reduction by 22%. As such, 90 % of Spain‘s softwood lumber imports came from Europe.
