After the increase in January, Södra, announced further mark-ups on prices for sawlogs and industrial roundwood on 21 April with immediate effect and introduced thinning bonuses at the same time. Prices for standard grades of spruce and pine sawlogs have been raised by SEK30/m³, and the mark-up on small-diameter sawlogs as well as on industrial hard and softwood is SEK25/m³ in each case. A thinning bonus of SEK/m³ is also being paid for all industrial-roundwood assortments until 30 June.
Olof Hansson, business area manager Södra Skog, says this is the group’s response to the continuing heavy demand on the timber markets and the correspondingly high level of production activity in the industry.
