Rougier has sold African companies to Sodinaf

French Rougier group has sold subsidiaries in Cameroon and the Central African Republic to Société de distribution nouvelle d'Afrique (Sodinaf). The sale of Société Forestière et Industrielle de la Doumé (SFID), Cambois and Sud Participation, all based in Douala, Cameroon, and Rougier Sangha-Mbaéré (RSM), which was only established in 2015 in the Central African Republic, was approved by the French Commercial Court in Poitiers on 13 July.

The approval of the commercial court prior to the actual purchase agreement between Rougier and Sodinaf was necessary due to Rougier's creditor protection proceedings, which have been ongoing since 12 March. Accordingly, the purchase agreements could only be signed by Rougier and Sodinaf on 16 July.
