Polish sawnwood production declines in first quarter

In March 2019 softwood lumber production of Polish sawmills declined by 1% vis à vis the comparative month of the preceding year to 266,000m³. According to the figures published by the Polish statistics authority on 24 April, production in January also declined by 1% to 245,000m³. For February, a 2% increase to 239,000m³ was recorded. Accumulated over the first three months, at 750,000m³, production remained virtually unchanged vis à vis the preceding year.
