Mercer Timber produces 281.3m bdft softwood lumber

At the former Klausner sawmill in Friesau, which belongs to Mercer, 281.3m bdft softwood lumber was produced by the newly founded Mercer Timber Products in 2017. This corresponds to some 664,000m³. Turnover of US$40.73m was generated by selling a total 213.5m bdft lumber, which corresponds to almost 504,000m³. The average value per unit is indicated at US$385/1,000 bdft. A further US$3.1m in each case was also generated with residual wood and energy.
