Vostok Resurs puts 12 MW heating station into service

TPK Vostok Resurs recently put a heating station designed for a heat output of 12 MW into operation at its Uva facility in Udmurtia. The plant, supplied by Kohlbach Holding provides the office and production building as well as Vostok Resurs drying kilns with heat all year round.

The start-up marked the completion of the extension of the facility underway since 2019. The project had been given priority status by the Russian ministry of industry and trade. The kilns from the Italian plant manufacturer Secal had already been put into operation in June. The annual drying capacity amounts to 150,000 m³ of sawn softwood. A 250 SL chipper line from the Heinola Sawmill Machinery, with a production capacity of 200,000 m³ of sawnwood and which can handle roundwood with a minimum diameter of 12 cm, started up in autumn 2019. Hekotek, which also supplied the 36-bunker roundwood sorting system, was responsible for the project as general contractor. Hekotek also supplied the sorting system for freshly cut sawnwood and the residual-wood disposal unit.
