The growth registered in the price of pine sawlogs in Poland in September continued at a slower rate in October. According to the sales statistics published monthly by national forest administration Lasy Panstwowe for the Internet platform e-drewno, a 10.9% higher price than a month earlier had to be paid for pine sawlogs at PLN517/m³ ex forest road (roughly equivalent to €110/m³) in October. After a reduction in September, the spruce price recovered again in October (+30.1%). The price for oak continued to rise. Beech remained stable at PLN692/m³. The price for birch fell below the peak reached in September. The prices for coniferous industrial timber have also reached new highs.
