British A & J Scott completes impregnating plant

A & J Scott recently finished building its fourth impregnating plant at its Wooperton facility. The plant, supplied by Lonza on which fencing elements and sleepers are to be autoclaved in future, is currently being configured and commissioned.

A & J Scott had already put a resaw supplied by Kallfass for processing fencing poles into operation at the facility in May 2019. Adjoining the resaw is a planing unit supplied by Georg Schwarzbeck (Rex). The new machines had augmented two existing sawing lines. Small-diameter logs are processed on a chipping line supplied by the former Söderhamn Eriksson. Thicker trunks are cut on a sawing line from Esterer WD (EWD).
