The Montgomery Group decided on 30 November to cancel the W Exhibition & Elements wood processing trade fair. The event had been scheduled to take place in Birmingham from 6 to 9 February. According to W Exhibition managing director Nickie West, the renewed intensification of the corona crisis and the resulting restrictions led to the decision. Originally scheduled for September 2020, the fair had been postponed to the February 2022 date in June 2021.
The next W Exhibition & Elements is scheduled for 24 to 27 September - five years after the last event in early October 2018. At the last W Exhibition & Elements, 180 exhibitors occupied an area of 20,000 m². According to the organiser, 9,237 visitors attended.
Concerning the wood and furniture supply fair sector, the Montgomery Group is organising the Surface Design Show scheduled for 8 to 10 February 2022 at the Business Design Centre in London.
