Stronger growth by Würth group again in first quarter

The Würth group increased its sales revenue again in its business year 2020 by 1.0% to €14.4bn. Adjusted for the effects of exchange rates, the growth amounted to 2.0%. Revenue generated from eBusiness sales rose by 5.8% last year to €2.8bn. As such, this sales channel accounted for almost a fifth of the total sales revenue. The Würth group boosted its sales revenue by 2.9% in Germany. The double-figure growth rates achieved in the construction (+12.2%) and electrical wholesale trade (+10.8%) divisions coincided with reductions in the segments supplying the car and machine-engineering industries. The foreign companies also fell short of the previous year’s level by 0.4%.

Sales revenue increased 10.3% in the first quarter. Here, the foreign companies even achieved double-figure growth of 2.6%. In Germany, the Würth group’s sales revenue was boosted by 7.2%. Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG recorded growth of 11.0%.
