Kullik & Rullmann now also has port warehouse in Riga

30.10.2017 −

German Kullik & Rullmann has now also rented a port warehouse in Riga, Latvia, via which predominantly pine lumber from sawmills in Belarus and Ukraine will be exported to customers in Great Britain. Exports to the USA are also possible, as required. The port warehouse, via which at least some 20,000m³ is to be processed each year, has been operationally active since June. The warehouse is completely covered and can be expanded in terms of area as needed.

According to chairman of the management board and CEO Carsten Kullik, this step has been necessary as imports of pine lumber from the countries bordering the EU to Great Britain have increased significantly. For the decking season in particular Kullik expects to have favourable buffer storage facilities so it is possible to supply customers in England and Scotland on time.
