06.12.2019 −

Fitecma, the wood processing trade fair held in Buenos Aires from 02 to 06 July, recorded less interest from exhibitors and visitors than at the previous event in June 2017. According to the trade fair report published by the Argentinian association for suppliers of wood processing machines (Asora), 104 companies exhibited over an area of 16,000m² - down 27% on the last event. The number of visitors decreased by 18% to 10,997. Fitecma was supported by the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (Eumabois).

The trade fair, which is divided into the areas of machinery/tools, wood products/building components and supplier products for the wood and furniture industry, will take place in Buenos Aires again in July 2021.

The Asora association, presided over by Olvaldo Kovalchuk, is formed of 32 Argentinian manufacturers as well as sales companies of foreign suppliers of wood processing machines.
