Bauhaus invests €60m in new administration building

Up to the end of 2023, Bauhaus is to invest around €60m in the expansion of its Service Centre Germany (SCDE) at company headquarters in Mannheim. In a preparatory step, the DIY group had demolished the former south wing of its German headquarters in spring. In parallel, administrative areas were reorganised for the duration of construction work. Several specialist departments have been temporarily relocated to surrounding office space. In return, the digital commerce department has taken over vacated space in the existing SCDE office tower.

The Bauhaus Group currently operates more than 150 DIY stores in Germany, each with a product range divided into 15 specialist departments. In addition, the Group has subsidiaries in 19 European countries. In total, Bauhaus meanwhile has over 270 DIY store locations.
