Andritz to supply woodyard and processing plant to Ilim

The Austrian plant manufacturer Andritz has received an order from the Russian Ilim Group to supply a new woodyard and a wood processing plant for the Koryazhma pulp and paper mill in the Arkhangelsk region. The scope of supply essentially includes two debarking and chipping lines as well as systems for chip and bark transport and associated control systems. Commissioning is scheduled for mid 2021. The companies did not provide any information on the order volume.

According to Andritz, the two debarking and chipping lines have a wood de-icing process in the debarking drums, a horizontally fed HHQ chipper, and two HQ press bark presses. The control system includes Decision Support Wall (DSW) and process optimization systems of the type "WoodScan", "BarkScan", "ChipperEKG", "CrusherEKG" and a chip analysis process of the type "ScanChip".
