National Timber Group acquires Hymor Timber

National Timber Group (NTG) - which was formed by Cairngorm Capital Partners following several acquisitions - has continued its expansion activity. With the support of Cairngorm, Hymor Timber was purchased. This was announced by Cairngorm on 3 March.

Hymor Timber focuses on trading higher-quality hardwood and softwood lumber, timber façades and mouldings. Concerning hardwood lumber, Hymor Timber’s stock lists include European woods such as oak and beech as well as North American types of wood such as white oak, cherry, maple, walnut and yellow poplar/tulipwood. In the area of tropical wood, Hymor Timber offers meranti and keruing from Southeast Asia as well as sipo, sapele and iroko from Africa. The list additionally includes modified timber such as accoya solid wood from chemical technology company Accsys Technologies. Hymor Timber’s sales territory is mostly in the county of Staffordshire in the Midlands region of England.
