Kullik & Rullmann acquires British Quay Timber

Kullik & Rullmann has taken over British Quay Timber with effect from 1 March, thus expanding its business activities in Great Britain and in the area of online trade. Quay Timber has been active in the Newcastle area since 2000, has 4,000m² of floor space and currently employs 15 persons. The product portfolio includes softwood and hardwood lumber, garden timber, fences, wooden panels, building components and accessories. In recent years, Quay Timber has strongly expanded its online business. Confidentiality has been agreed concerning the purchase price and the business figures of Quay Timber.

The takeover of Quay Timber creates additional storage possibilities for Kullik & Rullmann in the north-east of England, supplementing its existing locations in Hull and Rochester. The activities of Gill & Robinson, which was acquired by Kullik & Rullmann in November 2012, are to be amalgamated with Quay Timber. The company founder and previous owner of Quay Timber, Mark Fawcett, is to continue in an advisory capacity.
