Kingfisher seeks successor to current CEO Laury

The British DIY group Kingfisher has initiated the search for a new CEO. Véronique Laury, who has been CEO of the company since the beginning of 2015, will for the time being continue her duties in full. It has not yet been decided when Laury will leave the company.

According to an announcement published last week, the decision to change management was taken by mutual agreement. Laury was heavily involved in the implementation of the "One Kingfisher" restructuring plan announced in January 2016. The plan is expected to be completed next year.
Steve Willett, Chief Transformation Officer and most recently responsible for the introduction of a new uniform IT platform, will also leave the company. Willett has already held several management positions at Kingfisher and will retire. A specific date and a successor have not yet been named. The vacant position will be named Chief Digital and Customer Officer.
