HolzLand: half-year turnover increases by 29.1%

The 18.6% increase in turnover achieved by HolzLand in the first quarter had intensified further by the middle of the year. In the first half of the year, the cooperation generated centrally invoiced gross turnover of €650m, which represents an increase of 29.1% - or 31.2% on an adjusted basis - compared to the previous year. By sales region, adjusted centrally invoiced turnover in Germany rose by 30.6%. For Austria, HolzLand recorded a 34.2% increase in turnover, 19.8% for Switzerland and 55.1% for Belgium.

According to HolzLand managing director Nicole Averesch, the improvement in turnover is the result of continuing price increases as well as higher sales volumes in all ranges. With regard to individual product groups, adjusted turnover for solid wood/planed lumber rose by 59.2% and for wood-based panels by 35.6%. Double-digit increase rates were also achieved in the product groups of building materials (+28.8%), garden (+25.7%), floorings/walls/ceilings (+23.4%) and DIY (+12.1%). The building components segment achieved an 8.9% turnover rise compared to the previous year. Averesch expects turnover also to increase in the coming months.
