According to organizer Koelnmesse, a total of 1,805 exhibitors from 60 countries took part in Interzum, which came to an end on 24 May. The number of German exhibitors decreased to 356, while the participation of foreign companies increased to 1,449. The proportion of foreign exhibitors thus increased to 80 %. In May 2017, 1,732 companies from 59 countries exhibited in Cologne. At around 190,000 m², the gross exhibition area was just above the level of the previous event.
The number of visitors was well above the targeted 70,000. With estimates for the last day of the fair, a total of around 74,000 visitors came to Interzum. In May 2017, 69,000 visitors were registered. According to Koelnmesse estimates, the proportion of visitors from abroad has risen to 75 %.
The next Interzum will take place from 4 to 7 May 2021.
