USA: 2% increase in kitchen cupboard turnover

In 2018 US manufacturers of kitchen and bathroom cupboards generated turnover of US$7.3bn. This corresponds to an increase of 2% by comparison with the preceding year. According to the data collected on a monthly basis by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) a decline of 1.8% concerning semi-custom cupboards over the entire year contrasted with increases in standard products (+4.8%) and made-to-measure cupboards (+4.5%).

In December turnover exceeded the previous year’s figure by 0.7%. Also in the one single month growth was recorded for standard products (+5.3%) and made-to-measure cupboards (+3.5%), whilst for semi-custom made cupboards (-5.7%) a decline was recorded.
