Turnover of US furniture trade drops by one fifth in May

In May turnover of the US furniture retail trade, adjusted to account for seasonal effects and the different number of trading days, dropped by 21.5% to US$7.722bn. According to initial estimates of the U.S. Department of Commerce the unadjusted decline, at 23.2% to US$7.730bn, was even higher. Accumulated over the first five months, unadjusted turnover decreased by 18.1% to US$37.955bn.
