Polish furniture exports staged a bit of a recovery towards the end of last year after tumbling by 16% in the first six months of 2020. With a total value of €11.275bn, exports were 5% lower than in the prior-year period in 2020, Eurostat reported. The second half of the year fared better than the first six months with a 6% increase in export value to €6.308bn; the downturn recorded in the first six months softened markedly. Nonetheless, full-year exports to Poland’s leading customers – Germany (-3% to €4.033bn), Czech Republic (-9% to €821.9m), the UK (-13% to €708.1m) and France (-10% to €695.2m) – suffered further setbacks.
