Nobia turnover increases in north only in Q2

09.08.2017 −

During the second quarter net turnover of Swedish Nobia remained at virtually the same level as the preceding year at SEK3.408bn. In addition to the reduced number of delivery days, the company attributes the restrained development to negative currency effects to the amount of SEK12m. Organically speaking, turnover rose slightly by 1%.

It was only in the Nordic region that turnover increased in the second quarter - by 8% to SEK1.756bn. The organic growth in northern Europe amounted to 5% and, as in the first quarter, is attributed to good project business, which increased once again in all markets.

Turnover in Great Britain declined by 7% to SEK1.520bn, particularly on account of negative currency effects. Organically, the decline amounted to 2%. Whereas turnover in project business increased, turnover generated by kitchen specialists Magnet in the consumer as well professional segment declined. Turnover in the builders’ merchants and DIY sector also decreased. Supply of private label kitchens to Homebase, which has belonged to Australian Wesfarmers Limited (Perth) since summer 2016, are to be gradually discontinued by Nobia up to the end of 2017.
