LivingKitchen to be integrated in IMM special edition

29.10.2020 −

Contrary to previous intentions, the ongoing restrictions ensuing from the corona crisis will now lead to fundamental changes concerning the running of IMM Cologne, originally planned for January, as well as LivingKitchen, which is held in uneven years. In consultation with the advisory board, Koelnmesse decided on 16 October that LivingKitchen would not take place. The kitchen theme is to be integrated into IMM Cologne, which will be held as a special edition with a reduced exhibition section and additional digital elements. These digital elements will be concentrated within the newly created imm@home platform and include, for example, virtual product presentations as well as networking modules that allow an exchange of information between exhibitors and online visitors.

With this hybrid concept IMM Cologne, which was originally scheduled for 18 to 24 January, will be shortened to a four-day event to be held from 20 to 23 January. This means that, instead of lasting a full working week, the trade fair will take place from Wednesday to Saturday. Due to the special corona situation, the trade fair will be increasingly focused on the B2B area. This means that only a very restricted number of end customers will be able to attend the trade fair on the last day.
