Nowy Styl Group is to terminate production in Ebermannsdorf. The company refers to the corona-related decline in demand recorded during 2020 as well as the fact that production at the location is no longer economically viable as the reasons for its decision. Almost 50 jobs in production and other production related areas are affected by the shutdown. Seating solutions for the office sector as well as the health care & children segment are produced at the location. In future, the production units presently still in Ebermannsdorf are to be relocated to the Polish site in Jaslo or to the plant in Hallenberg of Kusch, which was acquired in 2019. Further details and a schedule as to when exactly production at Ebermannsdorf is to be discontinued are now to be devised in collaboration with the works council.
In future, therefore, the Nowy Styl GmbH headquarters in Ebermannsdorf will retain only internal sales, marketing, administration and project coordination for delivery/assembly. Approximately 25 persons are employed in these segments. In addition to the company in Ebermannsdorf and Kusch, there is one other German subsidiary - Nowy Styl Deutschland. Nowy Styl Deutschland ensues from Rohde & Grahl, which was taken over in 2013 and renamed in the course of a rebranding process last autumn.
