Howden Joinery Group (Howdens) has acquired the worktop manufacturer Sheridan Fabrications. According to British media reports, Sheridan's Managing Director John Blackburn will continue to work for the company after the takeover. Sheridan employs around 200 people. Howdens previously ramped up its production of solid surface worktops in 2020 by acquiring significant assets from an unnamed UK manufacturer. The transaction encompassed a site almost 65,000 m² in size, including a factory, plant and machinery near its location in Howden, Yorkshire. The site has been in full operation since April 2021.
