Haworth increases turnover by 27% in 2014

In the 2014 financial year, US office furniture manufacturer Haworth generated turnover of US$1.8bn. Vis à vis the preceding year, this represents an increase of 27%, which is due, for example, to the acquisition of Italian Poltrona Frau including the Poltrona Frau, Cappellini and Cassina brands, which took place in spring 2014. At that time Haworth took over 58.6% of shares in Poltrona Frau from Charme Investments (51.3%) and Moschini (7.3%). One of the largest investments made in the preceding financial year was for the plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, India, which covers an area of 7,000m² and went into production on 08 December 2014.
