Välinge taking action against Oneflor Europe in Mannheim

05.01.2019 −

At the beginning of December 2018, Välinge Innovation brought a patent-infringement action before Mannheim district court against the Belgian LVT and design-flooring importer Oneflor Europe. Välinge Innovation holds the view that the LVT product line “Solide Click 55” imported by Oneflor Europe from Asia and sold on the German market infringes the German part of the European patent EP 2 248 665 B2 held by Välinge Innovation. This product line uses the “3L TripleLock” one-piece fold-down installation system developed by the intellectual-property company Innovations4Flooring (I4F). Välinge Innovation believes the production in Asia is based on an I4F licence.

In its legal action, Välinge Innovation is claiming for desistance, compensation, and a recall of the products delivered to German large-scale project customers.
