Production situation at Jeld Wen back to normal

06.08.2020 −

Following restrictions imposed particularly in April and May in connection with the corona crisis, the production situation at interior door manufacturer Jeld-Wen has generally returned to normal. According to CEO Gary Michel, all factories have meanwhile resumed virtually normal operations. Shutdowns had been imposed mainly in Great Britain, France and Malaysia whilst in North America production at many factories had been reduced.

Incoming orders and turnover have also improved again, according to the trading update for the second quarter presented on 8 July. In April and May double-digit percentage rate declines declines against last year’s figures had been recorded. In June, turnover increased considerably again vis à vis the two preceding months and was again approximately at the level recorded last year.
