Kährs: Results back in the black in Q4

Swedish Kährs Holding significantly improved its results in the fourth quarter of 2017 vis à vis the preceding year as well as the preceding quarter. Following the recording of losses in each of the comparative periods due to special effects, Kährs once again achieved profit in the current reporting period.

The EBIT amounted to SEK55m and the EBIT margin improved to 7.2%. Pre-tax profit and net profit increased to SEK42m and SEK26m respectively. Even with the exclusion of special effects, the company was able to increase its profit. The adjusted EBITDA increased by 11.1% to SEK90m and, at SEK70m, the adjusted EBIT surpassed the preceding year's figure by 29.6%. The corresponding adjusted margins amounted to 11.7% and 9.1% respectively.

Regarding turnover in the fourth quarter, growth of 4% vis à vis the comparative quarter of the preceding year to SEK769m was generated. Adjusted to account for currency fluctuations, organic turnover in fact increased by 5%.
