Jeld-Wen issues two bonds

11.01.2018 −

On 14 December 2017, US-American Jeld-Wen Holding issued two bonds to a total value of US$800m via private placement. The terms of the two bonds (senior notes) - each of US$400m - run until 2025 and 2027 respectively. The net proceeds are, for the most part, to be used to repay existing liabilities.

Jeld-Wen had announced the issuing of the bonds on 4 December. In parallel, it also announced its plan for financial restructuring. An existing credit line with a final maturity date in July 2022 has been refinanced via the proceeds of the bonds. The term of the new credit agreement of US$440m runs until December 2024. The term of an asset-based revolving credit (ABL Credit Agreement) of US$300m has also been extended from 2019 to 2022.
