Stora Enso starts production of cross-laminated elements

The Finnish company Stora Enso has started production of cross-laminated elements in the neighbourhood of its large sawmill at its Austrian site in Ybbs. The company reports that after building work had started in the third quarter of 2011, trial operations started as early as February 2012. The plant has been running single-shift operations since mid-March, with a second shift to be introduced during the course of the next few weeks.
