Manufacturers are now striving for stabilisation in prices for gluelam beams

01.06.2012 −

According to information from central European gluelam beam manufacturers, the first round of price increases for gluelam beams was largely completed by the middle of May. Depending on the baseline, gluelam beam prices on the German market have been raised by an average of roughly €10-15/m³. The mark-ups on production orders were up to €20/m³ in some cases. From what manufacturers are saying, getting higher prices accepted on the Italian market is proving a little more difficult. Owing to noticeably slacker general demand than last year, it will probably take until the beginning of June for suppliers to push through the price increases they are after in Italy.
