German Pellets takes over Italian energy supplier

21.01.2013 −

At the end of 2012, German Pellets Holding Italia took over 51% of the shares in the Italian energy supplier Ely and thereby further increased its operations in Italy. Ely is a medium-sized energy company which builds and runs power plants in northern Italy with ratings of between 0.2 MW and 1 MW for the generation of electricity and heating from renewables. German Pellets intends through Ely to push the building in Italy of small power plants fuelled by wood pellets. In conjunction with an Italian partner, German Pellets had already formed the subsidiary German Pellets Italia S.R.L. in December 2011.
