Pfleiderer to install new line in Neumarkt after all

Pfleiderer Holzwerkstoffe now intends after all to install a new line during the planned replacement investment at its Neumarkt II plant. The plans presented in May 2011, which envisaged replacement of the two multi-daylight systems by a continuous form and press line from the Gschwend particleboard plant which was finally closed down in October 2010, were thrown out again at the end of 2011. The reasons for this were quoted as excessive costs for the transfer and lower reductions in production costs com-pared to those which would be achieved with a new line.
