Demand for radiata pine plywood remained rather low

Demand for Chilean radiata pine plywood was comparatively subdued on European sales markets again in May after a slow April. Suppliers reported having seen hardly any improvement in demand, which has been softening since March. Business had even slowed a little again in a few instances in May. Demand from the packaging industry and the construction sector remains rather low. Suppliers are still reporting that the quantities available for the European market are selling at satisfactory speeds.
