Accsys and Medite building Tricoya facility in Hull
A consortium between Accsys Technologies, Medite Europe, BP Chemicals and BP Ventures (BPV) wants to build the first Tricoya plant to make acetylated wood chips in Hull in the UK. The Tricoya consortium put the total investment at €68.2m. Pre-engineering work for the facility, which has a designed capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year, wrapped up in 2016. Commissioning is slated for the start of 2019. The new mill is to reach break-even on an EBITDA basis when running at 40% of its planned capacity and reach full capacity within four years of production starting.
