Investing in laser edgebanding technology has picked up strongly

Investments in laser edgebanding technology have picked up pace again over the past few months despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding the patent situation in Germany. Plant builders estimate that more than 150 laser units for edgebanding on through-feed machines and processing centres have now been sold around the globe. European companies have bought the majority of these units, with the bulk of the machines located in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Just a few machines have been installed outside Europe up until now. However, interest is now clearly growing in these markets, as well.
