French furniture trade up again slightly in October

13.01.2017 −

Turnover in the French furniture retail trade increased again slightly by 1% in October 2016. According to market research institute Ipea, a 1.3% increase was recorded for September, following a considerable decrease in August of 8.3%. One reason for the low growth in October is the high comparative value of the preceding year - in October 2015 turnover in the French furniture retail trade had improved by 6.2%.

Accumulated over the first ten months of the current year, turnover increase still amounts to 2.1%. Growth over the course of the year consequently continued to slow down.
