UK: Sawlog supply getting tighter in some regions

The purchasing competition on the softwood sawlog market has intensified in the course of the last few week in Great Britain, as sawmills continue producing at relatively high levels. From what market insiders say, there is a growing demand overhang in Scotland, in particular. The situation on the roundwood markets in England and Wales, by contrast, is still said to be relatively balanced.
