Satisfactory sales of softwood lumber registered in North Africa recently

05.05.2012 −

Although satisfactory sales opportunities in terms of volumes remain the most prevalent on the softwood lumber markets of North Africa and the Middle East in the early weeks of the second quarter, central European exporters believe the brisk business activity of the first few months of the year has recently given way to largely normal seasonal demand again. Suppliers are attributing this partly to the comparatively high volume of imports in January/February, which is why importers generally have adequate basic supplies of pine lumber in particular.
