The Latvian wood-industry enterprise Kurekss has recently placed an order with Valutec for a TC-type continuous dryer; this is Valutec’s first delivery of a TC dryer to Latvia. Timber with thicknesses of 19-25 mm can be dried to a final moisture content of 12-18% in the plant designed with an annual drying capacity of 50,000 m³. The order also covers the delivery of pressure frames along with the Valmatics control system developed by Valutec and a heat-recovery system.
Kurekss manufactures soft-wood timber and planed products, mostly for customers in the UK, Egypt, France, Belgium, and South Korea and is also the first company in the Baltic States to receive a TC continuous dryer from Valutec.
