Investment climate for forestry companies now gloomier

28.06.2012 −

Leading suppliers of harvesters and forwarders have been registering decreasing receipts of orders since the start of this year. This applies particularly for the German market where, according to a survey carried out by KWF 319 cut-to-length (CTL) machines, covering harvesters, forwarders, and harwarders, were sold last year. As such, Germany was still one of the most important sales markets worldwide for CTL technology, along with Sweden and Finland. After the sales in the first six months of the current year, however, machine dealers and subsidiaries of the leading manufacturers of CTL technology in Germany are meanwhile working from the assumption that last year’s sales figures are not going be matched this year.
