Häberlein commissioned sawmill in February

In February Häberlein GmbH was able to commission its new hard-wood sawmill in Hardhausen-Gochsen, albeit slightly later than scheduled. According to original plans, the new sawmill, which is located adjacent to the current location in Hardhausen-Gochsen, should have started production in the first months of the 2015/16 hardwood season. The equipment was installed at the end of 2015 and includes the new logyard with a debarking system supplied by Nicholson, a butt reducer supplied by Bruks, the tilted bandmill supplied by Primultini with Bongioanni clamping carriage and Priobo mechanisation as well as the stacking unit supplied by Kaiser Nachfolger Vakuumtechnik. Company administration has also been set up at the new site.

Air and chamber-drying of lumber produced from oak, ash and other (deciduous) hardwoods takes place on the old sawmill site as well as, as has been the case so far, at two external storage spaces. The former production building is to be demolished once a buyer has been found for the horizontal framesaw supplied by Schulte as well as the vertical framesaw supplied by what is now Esterer WD (EWD). To replace the production building, a drying hall is to be constructed on the former sawmill site and the existing drying chambers are to be supplemented by additional facilities. Conversion of the current sawmill site into a plain timber yard is to take place in 2017.
