Further growth in softwood lumber output in third quarter

North American softwood lumber output rose in the third quarter of 2012 by a total of 4% against the same period of the year before to 13.445m m³, perpetuating the positive development of 5% and 6% seen in the preceding quarters. Cumulated over the first nine months of 2012, the production statistics compiled by the Western Wood Products Association show growth of 5% to 91,648m m³.
