Swedish softwood lumber and planed-product exports rose in June 2012 by roughly 3.3% against the same month of last year to 1.121m m³. According to the Swedish Forest Industries Federation, exports to buyers within Europe were only 1.5% higher than last year at 699,500 m³. Exports to the UK fell by 4% to 196,500 m³. Whereas the share of the total exports accounted for by European buyers fell to 62%, the share of deliveries outside Europe increased to 38%. Exports to non-European countries were raised by 25.3% to 421,900 m³.
