German timber trade records 11% growth in 2011

22.02.2012 −

The German Timber Trade Association GD Holz reports that total turnover generated by the German timber trade in 2011 showed year-on-year growth of roughly 11%. As expected, this means that the progressively quieter business trend continued in the fourth quarter of 2011 and that the growth rate has again declined. After mid-2011 had still shown year-on-year improvement in turnover of roughly 14%, revenues in the period from July to September showed year-on-year growth of only 8.2%. GD Holz therefore showed a growth rate in 2011 of 12.6% up to and including September.
