In June turnover in the German kitchen furniture industry increased by 7.5% vis à vis last year to €463.7m. According to figures compiled each month by the Association of the German Kitchen Furniture Industry (VdDK) on the basis of data from the Federal Statistical Office, export turnover increased in this sector by 9.2% to €188.1m. This rise was more significant than in domestic turnover, which improved by 6.4% to €275.6m. In the euro zone €143.3m was generated. This corresponds to an increase of 9.3%. Domestic turnover as a proportion of turnover as a whole, at 40.6%, increased by 0.9 percentage points in comparison with May.
