Blum to expand Works 7 in Dornbirn from November

26.07.2012 −

In November 2012, the Austrian manufacturer of function fittings Julius Blum will start the extension of production and storage space at its Works 7 in Dornbirn-Wallenmahd which was commissioned in 2009; the planning phase there is still in progress. The planned extension, which is primarily intended to expand capacity, includes a three-storey production building incorporating an underground car park, an additional high-bay warehouse and a new container-loading facility. Works 7 boasts a rail head and serves as a shipping centre. Aventos hinge fittings will also be assembled there. Roughly €42m were invested in the building of the works, of which €30m were spent on the production hall and €12m on the high-bay warehouse.
