Tarkett cuts work force in Hanaskog by almost a quarter

Tarkett intends to implement various restructuring and cost-cutting measures at its multi-layer parquet plant in Hanaskog. The changes are to involve the axing of 56 of the existing total of 237 jobs. The work force was informed of the planned job cuts on 19 January. According to Swedish daily-newspaper reports, 45 workers and 11 employees are affected. Negotiations with work-force representatives were started on 20 January and are to be concluded by May. In contrast, the size of the work force at the Broby site is to be maintained. The Broby warehouse currently employs 21 workers.
